Dahab has a completely different personality from Egypt’s larger beach destinations. Once a small Bedouin fishing village, it retains a relaxed and independent spirit. Seafront restaurants are lined with cushions, divers gather over coffee and the rugged Sinai mountains frame the water.

The town is especially loved by divers, freedivers, independent travellers and anyone who prefers character over polished formality.
