The Egypt Tour Company was born from a shared passion for Egypt, a country filled with extraordinary history, vibrant culture and timeless beauty. Our mission is simple: to help you fall in love with Egypt, just as we have.
Founded by husband and wife team Alex and Leanne, our story brings together two different perspectives. Alex is a proud Egyptian with deep roots in Cairo, while Leanne is a passionate traveller from New Zealand who fell in love with Egypt during her own journey and now calls it home.
Together, we combine genuine local knowledge with an understanding of what international travellers need to feel comfortable, confident and cared for. The result is a more personal way to experience Egypt, filled with authentic encounters, meaningful connections and unforgettable discoveries.

Born and raised in Cairo, Alex brings a lifelong connection to Egypt, a deep understanding of its culture and the warmth of genuine Egyptian hospitality.
His local knowledge and trusted relationships help us create smooth, authentic journeys that introduce guests to the Egypt he knows and loves.
Leanne
Co-Director & Journey Designer
Originally from New Zealand, Leanne first discovered Egypt as a traveller and soon fell in love with its history, people and culture.
Drawing on her background in leadership and customer service, she understands the questions international visitors may have and ensures every journey is thoughtfully planned, clearly communicated and personally suited to each guest.
Together, we offer the best of both worlds: genuine local insight and the perspective of someone who understands what it feels like to discover Egypt for the first time.
